I’ve tried to appreciate Parson’s music, but the songs are stuck in a lurch between rock, country, folk, bluegrass or somewhere, and not overly satisfying in any context. But lots of folks like the songs, so there ya go.

Hey, and welcome from Afrika. Quite an adventure.

I think this particular song by Parsons and Harris is one of the best duets ever.

The Byrds were incomparable in their natural element, but their vocal style just didn’t work all that well in countryish spaces. Extra credit for giving it a go, many would not try. They did wander back back that way in their last album. Nice mandolin work here and a ringing gospel-style piano.

    Spaceman,
I really like this song, and it really does sound old time gospel.
