The Journeymen were comprised of Scott McKenzie, Dick Weissman and John Phillips and made their debut in 1961 at Gerde’s Folk City, New York.

    When this came out, 500 miles was quite a trek. Sure there were railroads and commercial planes (I’m not quite that old) but still 500 anything was considered pretty darned big.

    Now, not so much, I don’t think. If it were written today it might even be 5,000 miles. LOL

      Those were the days of trains too. I would love to have lived when trains had their heyday here. The I Love Lucy where they travel on a train across the country is a favorite of mine. I want to sleep in a Pullman!

      5,000 miles is a single flight!
