My garden isn’t that big and I have loads of cords after buying those Christmas lights last year I bought one this morning and I got a chance to try it before the rain started.

I’m jealous of your lunch! I am, however, not jealous of the time not took you to get there, but I guess the lunch would have appeased my impatience as well.

The only place which I thought was winter cold was in the Andes Mountains of Peru though Bolivia was sweatshirt weather. The rest of the countries were pretty warm for winter. I guess we all have different views of winter!

They tanked the other night. Verlander was mortal. I only watched a couple of innings.

Hi Kat, The weather here in Sao Paulo today was cool and rainy. I won’t complain about traffic jams again in the US. Freeways here are parking lots on steroids. There are almost 20 million people in Sao Paulo and I think all of them must own a car and were driving it today. My Local colleagues and I went for a late lunch at 3:30 of barbecue at a churrascaria restaurant. It was 11 km from our training center and It took nearly an hour in heavy traffic to arrive at the restaurant. The drive was worth the effort because the thin slices of meat and the salad buffet were wonderful.

My biggest surprise is that the sun sets here around 6:00 and rises at 6:30 in the morning. Although it’s not cold it’s mid winter here in the southern hemisphere. When I get home Saturday the sun will probably set after 8:30 and it will be hot as hell.

What happened to the American League All Stars Tuesday night? Did they forget how to play baseball? I watched some oaf the game in Spanish on TV.

Kat, I bought the lawn mower when my old lawn guy decided it wasn’t worth his time to come and do my lawn and I didn’t know if I could get anyone else. Now I have a new lawn guy but he works in Lawn Guy Alternative Universe so I keep the lawn mower to do touch ups close to the house when the shaggy starts to bother me.

I live alone so no one can say that about me, but it is true nonetheless. I’ll make due for dinner, but the animals can’t so off I go. The dog’s food is healthier than my own.

Once in a while I go out to eat and I have those plays, but mostly I like staying home too!

Hi Caryn,
I still haven’t gone to the grocery store. I keep putting the time back so now I’m saying 6-most people will be home having dinner is my rationale.

I did laundry yesterday and didn’t even leave a load in the dryer, unusual for me. I even washed the spread and the dog’s blanket so I can be a slug today without guilt ( I never have guilt any day!).

The first sentence of the second paragraph says it all. My husband has been complaining for years that I treat the animals better than him. I halfheartedly deny it every time; he’s never fooled.

I, too, am loathe to venture out at night these days. In my case it’s partially due to night vision issues, but I really prefer to curl up with the cats and a good book.

Hi Kat,
I know what you mean by resenting having to go out. I’m not a hermit either but I do hate to get dressed up to do things now. If I can do things in my normal “casual” attire then I am very happy to do so. But I hate dressing up. Especially in the summer. Bleh.
I have been a complete slug today. Well, I did one load of laundry because I had to and I finished up a moderated online focus group thing that’s been going on for 3 days. But that hardly involves a lot of effort on my part. The rest of the time I have been knitting, reading or napping. I feel that I should be ashamed of myself but somehow I can’t bring myself to exert that much energy.
I have knitting group tonight but I could probably go there in my jammies and no one would mind so it’s okay.
Enjoy the rest of the day and rest up for the play.
