one of my favorites
I can’t remember the last time I heard this songs, must be decades.
I am a Peery Como fan from way back!
Willie’s wonderful Texas Hill Country voice gives this classic song a new lease on life. WIllie had to record records that would sell to pay the IRS for back taxes and penalties. Regardless, he is a wonderful singing and writing talent.
I think the whole album is wonderful. It is my favorite of his with all the classics he sings.
I remember his IRS problems. He made those albums and there were benefit concerts for him as well.
One of my favorites is “Mama Don’t Let Your Babies Grow Up to Be Cowboys”
I just like the sound of his voice-it is distinctive.
